Bhutan Druk Path Trek Via Kathmandu Nepal

The concealed corners of Bhutan offer captivating sights and opulent ethnic heritage, making it a perfect place for a tour or trekking adventure. Bhutan's diverse scenery of soaring landscapes command our attention. To explore this, we take to alpine settings at the highest points and the primeval forests and mountains of Bhutan’s enchanting remote expanses, the core of Himalayas’ beautiful and tranquil settings and trails, untraveled and isolated.
Our cultural encounter begins at Kathmandu, Nepal where you will explore ancient monuments, stroll around palace squares and witness a sumptuous blend of culture, history and traditions. In Bhutan, we shall combine the exploration of Bhutan’s cultural heritage with the exceptional Druk Path Trek. Visiting the renowned Tiger’s Nest Monastery, we embark on our trek from Jangchu Lakha. To the highest points in the country, this trek touches a remarkable range of environs and thrilling trails with classic views of the soaring peaks of Mount Gangkar Puensum standing tall at (7570m/24835ft ).
This trek is followed by a tour of the capital and then a beautiful short hike will take us to Lungchutse Monastery and to a place that brings you fascinating views accessible nowhere else. Mountains like Jhomolhari, Kang Bum and Gangchhenta can be seen across the stark, vast stretch of Bhutan’s mystical wilderness that concludes this cultural yet adventurous trip.

  • Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m/4500ft)

  • Day 02 Kathmandu: Sightseeing

  • Day 03 Fly to Paro, Bhutan [2250m/7,500 ft]

    • Morning fly to Paro, Bhutan. Watch spectacular mountain view including Mt. Everest. Visit Paro Dzong & Museum
    • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
  • Day 04 Hike To Taksang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery 3,110m/10,200ft - 4-5 hours.

  • Day 05 Half way drive and commence trek to Jangchu Lakha (3780m /12, 400 ft) – 5 -6 hrs

    • Blue pine & thick alpine forest, dwarf rhododendron trees & yak herders.
    • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
  • Day 06 Trek to Jimilang Tsho 3,956m/12,975ft

    • Mountain valleys, rhododendron and conifer forest, alpine ridge and meadows, small passes, prayer flags.

  • Day 07 Trek to Phadjoding Via Simkota La 4,210m/13,812ft - 5-6 hours.
