You can carefully observe how beautifully the Hindu temples and shrines are sculptured and carved in the Kathmandu Valley, its colorful bazaars and the eclectic atmosphere that covers it. The exquisite calligraphy and carvings on amazing works of art, skill of painters and artists who created mural and images can be seen closely at every nook and corner of Kathmandu. 

Day by Day

  • Day 01 ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU [1300m/4500ft]

    • Arrive in Kathmandu at 1205 local time, Kathmandu. The immensity of the Kathmandu Valley is evident as you fly into Tribhuvan International Airport, with Kathmandu stretching into the Himalaya mountains on the horizon. Arrive in Katmandu, assistance at airport transfer to Hotel.

      A cultural evening with folk music and ethnic dancing with fine Nepalese cuisine at Bhojan Griya. Enjoy and savor a welcome with RAKSHI, local Nepali wine at the courtyard, illuminated with butter lamps. Overnight at Hotel

  • Day 02 Explore ancient heritage of Kathmandu and powerful spiritual places

    • Explore vibrant and eclectic Kathmandu, artistically rich with an ancient cultural heritage full of fascinating sights. Visit the living goddess Kumari Devi. Visit Swoyambunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist Stupas in the World, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. It is nicknamed the monkey temple after the tribe of monkeys that look after the hill and often amuses the visitors.
      Lunch at GARDEN OF DREAMS, a neo classical historical garden – One of the most attractive tranquil oases, tourism landmarks as well as a natural library where visitors can take advantage of natural beauty inter- related with historical and architectural flavor.

      Afternoon visit to the Kopan Monastery. Kopan is a thriving monastery of 360 monks, mainly from Nepal and Tibet, and a spiritual oasis for hundreds of visitors yearly from around the world. Nearby is Khachoe Ghakyil Ling Nunnery, home to 380 nuns. Both the monastery and the nunnery are under the spiritual guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and the care of the abbot, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lhundrup Rigsel. It is the wellspring of the FPMT, a network of some 140 centers and activities world-wide, themselves expressions of the Buddha activity of Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche.   • Day 03 KATHMANDU TO POKHARA

    • Morning breakfast and drive to Pokhara (approximately 5 hrs). Upon arrival at the Temple Tree Resort welcome with drinks. Late afternoon: Visit to World Peace Pagoda- a massive Buddhist Stupa situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. It gives a truly colorful tapestry of life. You can take life at your own pace in the most wonderful surroundings.

  • Day 04 EXPLORE POKHARA

    • Enjoy amazing Pokhara around the majestic Fewa Lake, where the Annapurna mountain range including Mt Fishtail are reflected perfectly on the mirrored surface. Mingle around old Pokhara town where there is a huge array or collectibles on sale. Pokhara is famous for its beautiful town and the lake. All of this is appropriately matched by the towering Annapurnas which can be seen from every part of the town. While in Pokhara visit Mahendra Cave, the last intersection of tunnels in South Asia. Take a boat and explore the lake for one hour.

  • Day 05 POKHARA TO BANDIPUR

    • Scenic drive to Bandipur mountain hill offers you the view of the diversity of demography, great landscapes, cultural heritage, beautiful Trishuli river and its beaches. You have the opportunity to have many photographs during this journey.

      Ancient newari mountain town, located on a 1000 meter ridge, about 140 kms from Kathmandu, Bandipur's hallmark is its beautiful scenery. At the eastern part of the town is the pagoda roofed temple, which houses goddess Durga town's guardian diety. The town is rich in wooden carvings and brass work.

      Evening, enjoy the pleasant and leisure walk from Bandipur through the edges of the hills pas forest and trails overlooking valleys and hills. The village has mud houses most of them round in structure which is traditional of the area and the ethnic group. Untouched, the walk and village allows travelers to explore the country side of Nepal. Rest of the day to explore the town and nearby temples. Overnight at a Resort.
  • Day 06 BANDIPUR TO CHITWAN

    • Scenic drive to Chitwan, offers you the view of the diversity of demography, great landscapes, cultural heritage, beautiful Trishuli river and its beaches. You have the opportunity to have many photographs.

      Arrive in one of Chitwans premiere accommodations' offers the visitor an opportunity to view wildlife in probably the best natural habitat inside the park besides providing various forms of lodging and recreational facilities.

      In the evening, a slide presentation. One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Royal Chitwan National Park, as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Dinner will be in the central dining hall. Overnight at Resort.
  • Day 07 JUNGLE ACTIVITIES IN CHITWAN

    • Jolt along atop your own elephant to search for one horned-Rhino, Gharial crocodiles, four-horned antelopes, striped hyenas, and the Gangetic Dolphins, Swamp deer, Musk, Deer, Black buck, blue bull, the Royal Bengal tiger, and hundreds of different animals and birds.(Jungle activities include, bird watching, natural walks, a cultural program, and a slideshow presentation.).   • Day 08 CHITWAN TO KATHMANDU

    • Again scenic drive to Kathmandu from bandipur check-in at your Hotel. Visit Pashupatinath which is the richest and holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is 6 km east of Kathmandu and a center of the annual pilgrimage on the day of Maha Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. This temple is situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple, in Pagoda style, has a gold gilded, two-tier roof and richly carved silver doors which are famous for their superb architecture. The premise of this temple is accessible only to Hindus. Visitors and non-Hindus are permitted to view the temple only from the east bank of River Bagmati. Then continue your visit of Boudhanath, built in 5th century A.D. by Lichchhavi King Mana Dev is on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. This colossal and ancient Stupa is one of the biggest in the world and has all the seeing eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions, keeping the eternal watch over the people and their doings. This spherical Stupa is held in great veneration both by the Lam as of Nepal and Tibet. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 09 KATHMANDU TO NAGARKOT

    • [OPTIONAL] Transfer to the domestic terminal for a one hour, breathtaking mountain flight to view the highest mountains on earth, is departing from Kathmandu. During the flight you will encounter the tallest mountains on earth. This flight offers you the closest possible aerial views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga and the Tibetan Plateau.

      Drive to Nagarkot a popular hill resort which is situated 34 km east of Kathamndu. Enjoy the panorama of major peaks of eastern Himalayas including Mount Everest can be seen from this area. Other Himalayan peaks like Manaslu (8463 in), Ganesh Himal (7111 in), Langtang (7246 in), Choba Bhamre (6016 in), Gaurishanker (7134 m) and Numbur (6957 m) are also clearly seen from Nagarkot. Explore surrounding area. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 10 NAGRKOT TO KATHMANDU EN-ROUTE VISIT BHAKTAPUR

    • Early morning walk to the Nagarkot tower for sunrise view through the highest mountain on earth.
      On your way back, explore Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon city, home of medieval art and architecture. This city, shaped like a conch-shell, covers an area of 4 square miles. Bhaktapur means a city of the devotees. Pottery and weaving are its traditional industries. This Durbar Square has innumerable temples and architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the picture gallery, the Golden Gate, the Palace of 55 Windows, the Batsala Temple, the Bell of Barking Dogs and a replica of Pashupatinath Temple. During the tour of Bhaktapur, a visit to Durbar square is unavoidable.

      Lunch at Café Nyatapola, (This cafe is in a building that was once a traditional pagoda temple. It has some erotic carvings on some of the roof struts and a great vantage point to watch Taumadi Tole come to life.).

  • Day 11 PHARPING AND PATAN DURABAR SQUARE

    • After your breakfast drive to Pharping where the biggest history of Buddhism in Nepal are still alive. Lunch at Hattiban Resort. After lunch drive to Patan Durbar Square complex, situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur. It houses the residence of the former Patan royal family. Patan Square and its surroundings are good specimens of ancient Newari architecture. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one, is at the centre of Patan square. Several multi-sized and multi-styled temples occupy the western part of the complex. Main among these are Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna.

  • Day 12 SHOPPING

    • Leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Visit Kathmandu Gallery where, you can find Thanka, ceramics, paintings, Tibetan furniture, metal and wooden crafts. Walk in to Thamel to explore the touristic hub of Nepal. Visit Thanka painting shops.

      Rest of the day on your own for last minute shopping, catching up with new acquaintances or bidding farewell to old ones. Overnight at Hotel Shangri-la.
