Valuable memories with us from this Himalayan region
Dear Ram & Himalayan Dreams Team, It was our great pleasure to meet you in person finally! You made our (especially my) Himalayan Dreams become real. Your continuous attention and assistance truly made our trip memorable. We will take many valuable memories with us from this Himalayan region. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I have unforgettable memories of my trip to Nepal last year and hope to return in the future! Our trip was arranged by the very competent staff at Himalayan Dreams and went smoothly throughout the two week stay. We were met at the airport in Kathmandu and a staff member was always available if questions arose. We had recommendations as far as food and events go, and we quickly began to feel at home with the local people. I still communicate with several of the people we met and consider them dear friends. There is so much antiquity in Nepal to visit and the men and women go about their daily lives in what seems to an American as another world. It's a strange mixture of East and West….the crowded streets full of people going to work on motorbikes with the women wearing their beautiful draped dresses. Right in the middle of the busy thoroughfares you will see small stone shrines on the sidewalks with fresh flowers from passersby. It is simply an enchanting experience! Just writing about it makes me anxious to return! Thank you Himalayan Dreams for making all of this possible.
I love the spectacular view along the trail
I love the spectacular view along the trail, I love Ghasa the most after Muktinath, it was like being in the real Shangrila, really!. It gave me the most thrill feelings, maybe I was Nepali before :) the night was so clear, I can see thousands of stars in Milky Way shining in the black satin, wonderful feeling. I could not forget the sound of nature surrounding.
Well, I am not sure how grateful I am for this trip, only can say thank you very much to you and Jwane, and the porter also wonderful. I have not had chance to contact Jwane, please extend my regards to him and Parash,Do remember to contact me if you come to Singapore again.
Himalayan Dreams was exceptional in planning and managing
I am a constant traveler but it is in Nepal that I find stillness-the one that comes from a sense of belonging. During my trips to Nepal and also to Tibet in 2002, Himalayan Dreams was exceptional in planning and managing it. It was hassle free and gave me a perfect opportunity to learn new things and discover myself during this journey. I thank Himalayan Dreams for their wonderful trip and I hope to be back again….soon!
Thank you so much for helping to navigate this amazing country
The cities are amazingly interesting, the mountains beautiful and the people kind and welcoming, all of this was enhanced with the guidance we received from you, Guru and Jwane. We will take so many memories from our tiem here and we look forward to continuing our connecton to Nepal.
Really decent people from Nepal at work
I arrived in Kathmandu and spent the afternoon wondering around the city (Thamel, New Road, Durbar Marg and Thundikhel), before heading home to a friend's place for the night. For the rest of the week I experienced Nepal's cultural history, especially the stories of Shiva, Ganesh, Buddha and of Nepal's royal past. At home, I learnt about Nepal's culture up-close and personal. I learnt how to prepare Nepali food and how to dance and sing traditional and newer Nepali songs. Week two was spent in Pokhara, and it was awesome to trek to Annapurna Base Camp and to the World Peace Pagoda up on the mountain behind Fewa Lake. All in all, the trip was amazing, and it has left a lasting impression on me. Many thanks to all that made it happen!
